Firma Consulting is a consultancy specialised in advising company owners and managers. Firma Consulting provides advice in a number of fields, which are listed and described in more detail on the company website, under "Services". Firma Consulting emphasises professionalism, together with the careful handling and completion of each engagement. The Firma Consulting team includes one senior advisor as well as several specialists, according to the nature of the assignment. Firma Consulting's senior advisor is Magnús Hreggviðsson, cand. oecon. He is certified as a corporate, real estate and ship broker, and has decades of experience as a consultant and independent entrepreneur.
Magnús Hreggviðsson worked for over a decade as the owner and manager of an accounting, auditing and consulting firm. Later, and for most of his career, he was in charge of two divergent operations. In one capacity he served as owner, manager and acting chair of the board in one of Iceland's largest publishing companies, which had been created by merging eight small publishing companies. The company born in the merger was by far the largest in Iceland in regard to magazine publishing, was one of the largest book publishers, and also had an exhibition department and a computer software and information business. In his other capacity, Magnús Hreggviðsson functioned as the manager and acting chair of the board in a real estate and land development firm.
The biggest project undertaken by this firm was buying and planning the part of the capital area named Smárar, then building the streets and seeing to the preliminary drawing of the buildings there. In fact, the project as a whole was the first major land development work undertaken in Iceland by private enterprise. In more recent years, Magnús Hreggviðsson has been the senior advisor and acting chair of the board at Firma Consulting.
